# API REST de registo

O SCEPman disponibiliza uma API REST para inscrever certificados usando o *Enrollment over Secure Transport* (EST) protocolo. Esta é uma alternativa aos endpoints SCEP que exigem a autenticação ao estilo SCEP, enquanto a API REST usa Microsoft Identities para autenticação. O protocolo também é muito mais simples do que o SCEP.

A API REST apresenta dois modelos diferentes de autenticação.

### Inscrição por autoatendimento

Como utilizador, pode autenticar-se interativamente se tiver a função CSR.SelfService. Isto permite-lhe solicitar certificados para si e para os seus dispositivos. Consulte [Inscrição por autoatendimento](/pt/gestao-de-certificados/api-certificates/self-service-enrollment.md) para mais detalhes.

### Inscrição via API

Também pode autenticar-se como um Service Principal que tenha a CSR.Request.Db função. Isto permite-lhe automatizar a inscrição de certificados em servidores, dispositivos IoT ou noutros casos de utilização.
