# API REST de inscripción

SCEPman cuenta con una API REST para inscribir certificados utilizando la *Inscripción sobre transporte seguro* (EST) protocolo. Esta es una alternativa a los puntos de conexión SCEP que requieren autenticación al estilo SCEP, mientras que la API REST usa identidades de Microsoft para la autenticación. El protocolo también es mucho más simple que SCEP.

La API REST cuenta con dos modelos de autenticación diferentes.

### Inscripción de autoservicio

Como usuario, puede autenticarse de forma interactiva si tiene el rol CSR.SelfService. Esto le permite solicitar certificados para usted y sus dispositivos. Consulte [Inscripción de autoservicio](/es/gestion-de-certificados/api-certificates/self-service-enrollment.md) para más detalles.

### Inscripción por API

También puede autenticarse como un principal de servicio que tenga el rol CSR.Request.Db. Esto le permite automatizar la inscripción de certificados en servidores, dispositivos IoT u otros casos de uso.
